LOOK AT THE UGLYNESS Yay for addressing 10 things at once, blocking out the diffuse, then fixing the UV's a bit, then baking the normal again and fixing the uv's more! My tablet is broken so I'll be trying to take advantage of layers, using masks, and different bakes. I jump around too much. -

The car has a cool design to it, but I think that when you're designing boxy inorganic shapes like that, you shouldn't be afraid of shift clicking out straight lines with the brush. It'd feel a lot more solid that way, and god knows how hard it is to draw a perfectly straight line on a tablet. -

Honestly, I hate the 'iconic' Shepard look; it doesn't fit the way I play the character. It might work for some goody-goody paragon, but not a space pirate in training. Only if I could create the face in a separate program and use a tablet, like I did for all of my faces in Oblivion. -

Nice texture work. Did you use only Photopaint or did you also use DeepPaint or something like that? I´m wondering, because I want to start texturing as soon as I get a tablet so I´d like to know what´s the most common method. -

Okay so rending a demo reel on my old PC is taking a depressingly long time :( On the up side, I got PS CS3 and new wacom drivers... And my pen actually seems to work. 1hr or so including the time to adjust tablet. My attempt at something akin to champloo. -

hey hey, finally on the polycounts, really good models man. I know you know the little stuff on the shoe, and the tablet looks stellar. If anything when you do stuff like the ship in the future, try to be a little more dynamic with the design. Cool stuff, again really glad to see you posting : ) -

If you're using Zbrush, start by going to a lower subdivision of your head and simply hold down Shift while smoothing out your bump with a few careful strokes of the pen, provided you got a wacom tablet. Be careful though, you dont want to make a dent in your head either. Hope this helps. -

This would be good as a con portfolio (GDC, face-to-face w/ a recruiter, etc.) if you have a mobile/tablet device with a big enough display for evaluation. So, keep the plain vanilla no flash site for your regular and the dynamic folio for "live" presentations. Don't forget to leave a business card in case they're… -

Here is my most productive attempt at sculpting hair (at least part of it anyway). I can't get it to have that distinct sharp look to it, instead it has that horrible blobbiness to it. I don't have the luxury called tablet so i can't easily make brush strokes that have differing pressure at beginning and end.
