:) ignoring crysis 1... think about wot yer selling? Most of these modern games are made and work on 7 year old consoles where my 7800 gtx cries like a bitch when I try to throw Bioshock at it. Consoles did have a bleeding edge. Legs. the nvidia gpu in production during development was at best the 6800 gtx, the same same…

It doesn't blur the foreground anymore, just gives it sort of a surreal effect, like a pocket of clarity is just out of reach. It didn't seem to affect fps anymore than normal dof 1 way or the other when I turned it on, but then again I was in a relatively low demand set. I tried to see if I could cheat the edge effect by…
This is great! I was getting worried with everyone drooling over next gen titles that were just gritty brown & grey that we would have to slog through another few years of boring games before we rediscovered color and style.
Finally finished painting my character Stir-fried and I'm working on getting a nice render and I've come across this problem. Seems the the only spot the is happening and I've tried moving the verts around but it doesn't smooth out the problem. Anyone now whats going on here? I'm working in Maya 2010 and there is a single…

Each day when I get to my desk at work I write down everything I need to get done for the day on a post it note. When I'm done planning work stuff out I then write down what I want to get done with my personal art that night at the bottom. Just a little bit at a time and those big projects will eventually get done.
thanks guys, yeah I ll often use bridge for this but I have a lot of glass pieces divided in even smaller pieces... so I was wondering if there was something more "automatic" ! I dont really care for crappy geo being generated to fill the holes, is more because I am shading some glass pieces and to get proper refraction I…
Room mate picked his up at launch, and I've played around with it a bit at GDC. The system is pretty cool, but in all honesty, I'm in no rush to get it. Not many worthwhile games, and while what you get in the package is DEFINATLY worth the money, its not like I have to spend it right now. The worst thing that can happen…
Don't be glib. OHO! Yeah, Glib is right. I think it is a handy term to have at the beggining for a new round of consoles, but gets redundant after that.
