Similar to a Resume, like Eric said. Its your professional representation of yourself. If your past experience outside of the industry doesn't add any value to your career there isn't any point to having it there, in my opinion.
Thanks for answering, the second answer helped me a bit. Fuck, I thought I had read everything about UVs there. Thanks Eric, I'm starting to feel bad everytime you send me to the wiki.
And then there are threads like this, which are pretty much guaranteed to not get any constructive replies because they do not follow any of the recommendations outlined in Eric's post : http://polycount.com/discussion/184706/the-rookies-2017-competetion-has-started
Hi @pior and @Eric Chadwick Thanks you guys so much for all the advices! Until now I’ve just done freelancing in an unprofessional way. Now I see a better line! Thanks a lot, again!
Thanks scotths. That would have been perfect, but I've the scripting skills of a dung beetle :( Maybe its time I learn Eric, you sir, are a godsend! Thats exactly what I was looking for, many thanks
Oh, that's a good point. Max's viewport shaders are pretty bad at actually matching the normals/tangents that were baked with the ones they display. Maybe try using a different viewport shader (standardFX should work), as Eric said.
Eric is right, that is what I usually do to solve this issue. In your case...have you tried updating your drivers? If that doesn't work then try downloading a previous build of UDK and see if it does the same thing.
Ok, thanks, r_fletch_r. I'll look into that. @Eric: I do do my research, but at the same time I'm fairly new in this field so it can still be confusing understanding it all without asking specific questions.
This one is from Tim and Eric Awesome show. What do you get when you cross Elton John with a sabertooth tiger? (I dunno, but you better keep it away from your ass) :D
Thanks, Eric. I installed the demo and was messing around with their incldued sample objects. They don't seem to suffer from the problems I was having with 3dsmax, but then again, the demo won't let me use my own objects.
