I was moved from the lupine faction team (dog characters) to the NAE fraction team(North American Empire)so here is a model I did for the Base BDU(Modelsheet done by Eric Dolphin) brainfog.deviantart.com... Questions comments?
Eric: that'd be feasible, but probably save that until I have built a node based setup if anything and just create a "wizard" that asks questions and builds it from there. It's honestly not an idea i'll implement until later down the road.
Scooby, yes I did it. For autodesk to answer my question it'd cost $65 USD. I also checked their site and got nothing. Eric/Xeno: The only 3rd party ANYTHING that I have installed is Texporter.
I got you, thank you very much Eric, it is for a FPS game, its have reload animation can be checked on a 3D viewer, I will try my best to reduce this, I am just scared =/
Hi Eric, thanks for replying. Yes it worked before the 1.7 update and now it isn't. The background to the color id map is black. I am feeding mesh, normal, ambient occlusion, color id and tangent space.
Thanks Eric, yes it's working properly. It was just a weird situation of the app telling me the license was already in use somewhere else (but I guess I should have uninstalled/removed the license before re-installing?).
BO0oooooom! Sorted. Thanks Eric. It was the damn OBJ export catching me out. Didn't even realise I had to tell it to export the vertex normals. Lol Wish they would tell you these things in the video tuts.
Hi Eric, It was a material problem, they weren't assigned, for some reason I don't know actually why, so now im reassigning them manually. It is really boring, but I guess I have no other option.
I'd love to do an art dump sometime, Eric. Maybe once we ship. A couple of polycounters have touched this project over the last few years. :-) Also, I'm updating the first post with a trailer now!
I'm absolutely loving the green/red colours you're going with this. I'd have to agree with eric's image, a hard rim light would really make your image pop and increasing the contrast will add more interest.
