lotta wasted polys in those models, but we all started off that way, that plane could easily be half the polys. your 2d stuff is coming along, I sugguest doing some research on photoshop painting techniques, and if you don't already have one, get a tablet
Hi ScoobyDoofus )) glad to read you here )) prepared few pictures... render wireframe and texture i have no any shader for ninja.... but sword have a specular ^__^ don`t know how to make a normal map yet... have no tablet for sculpting in ZBrush )) have just a mouse and curve hands )))
LOL. Man I'm not out to tear to shreds. Just trying to point out some issues. I've been at that hotel. I've got a ton of stories of sketchy GDC hotels. Just make sure to have images in a gallery on your phone/tablet to show. It'll be faster than the slow wifi.
Thanks man, nail on the head with the dark souls thing, i didnt realize it was that obvious. I will keep practicing. Next on my list of basic painting skills is hard edges because i cannot for the life of me seem to draw one with my tablet. Thanks again, wish me luck.
Thanks. (There shouldn't be many hi-poly models as I plan on making modular/ reusable textures.) I know that feel. (if it makes you feel any better, sculpting with tablet is just way faster and none easier.) They don't complain. :poly142: Edit: Also thanks for pointing that out. :) Done for the day.
Looking at your work when you're not sitting in front of your screen can help. I commute in a bus to work and it's a great opportunity to look at my stuff with fresh eyes. I stick WIP images in my Google Drive / Dropbox and have a good contemplation looking at them on my tablet.
Hmmm, I've seen that body mesh some where... The model is really nice Jon. I would really try to push the skin more and put the glowing blue bits on at the end. It's real distracting from the skin. Keep up the good work though, glad to hear you got a tablet.
@tread necromancy tha face texture said "huge chin guy" to me he culd use a cigar too edit: he sucked, i improved him^^ something to play with in order to not suck^^ edit: i pretty do suck in texturing :,( i wish my graphic tablet was not broken
