Hey guys, thanks for all of the great input! I started making some of the environment and thought it would be good to do a quick B&W block-in to get an idea of what things would look like before stuff occurred. I'll have an update with Rumble Bee's final texture/color scheme soon! Thanks again and as always, crits and…
had this happen the other day. the object still exists all i had to do to bring it back was select it using the outliner than press w to put a transformation widget on it and once i tried to move it it re-apparead. just seems like a weird rendering bug. but it may of happened to me because i had a few complex hlsl shaders…
A few ideas: Your model is upside down Your view is upside down, but still orthographic (use the view cube and make sure it says top) You're not in world space (hold w, left click, make sure "world" is selected) Y is not set as up and down. Z could be set that way (possible due to importing shit from another program).
BTW - anyone have a more complete shot of this: http://www.stanford.edu/~mthoma/wallpaperimages/Battle%20Angel%20Alita-w%20wingsW.jpg I could have sworn I've seen it in its entirety - with the top of the wings illustrated in and stuff. I know its in an insided cover of one of the books but I can't find a more complete shot…
You're a monster. I love the feel of the props. I have a question, and I've been having difficulty in trying to do it. The glow maps for a transparent plane, for the holograph. What was the process of getting it done? I see on your glow maps, they are in Black and White values, do you need to use the B&W or do you use the…
[ QUOTE ] ...... Die in a fire. Modifiers by default affect the whole object. To limit bevel to a single edge, see the bevel modifier panel limit using: -> BevWeigh. Then go back to the mesh and press ctrl+shift+e to control bevel weight per selected edge. Or alternatively, bevel is also a mesh tool. Select your edges, press w to access the "specials"…
yeah of course udk has a texture sample limit but in theory there's no limit to the number of textures you could blend. assuming you put specular in the alpha channel of your diffuse and use b/w maps in single channels you could in theory use the vertex colour channels like i mentioned. i didnt say it was a good idea, just…
Not too bad of a sculpt! I suggest you using Inflat brush on the ears. Also, make sure to always use reference - don't even start sculpting w/o some reference in front of you (I kept making that mistake in the beginning). That way, you'll learn a lot and we can give you better critiques and comments. Good luck!
Yeah we'll be in Seattle proper. I think the boys are staying at the W. Really the only dates that work for me are Monday (holiday) and Wednesday. Bit unfortunately since it falls on weekdays. Sunday night maybe, but the other 2 guys get in to town late Sunday night and will probably be a bit groggy. Maybe its a good idea…
