That character looks wicked awesome dude, one question: How do you get smooth, straight muscles with a mouse, (I don't have a tablet). I have tried the lazy mouse option but I still get very jagged lines. Are you still going to complete this model?
Honestly, if you want to practice on the go, just practice traditional painting skills. Trying to texture 3d models on a tablet with any sort of accuracy is just going to be a frustrating experience that won't teach you much. Practicing good ol' painting will, and those skills will translate to painting textures.
That's weird, I never ran into that issue. Could it be because Aero is turned off? I just run Windows 7 with out of the box settings, besides turning off tablet computing stuff, and things run fine. I've had some weird problems when Aero disabled.
I kept a box of caffeine tablets on my desk during crunch for Forza 5 (because Mountain Dew hates my guts, quite literally), and had at least two other artists refer to it as "massively badass" and "hardcore". So they may not taste as good, but the compliments are awesome! :poly142:
Hey thanks a lot for the info JustColorado. I just wanted to have a generic idea about games for ios and android tablets and phones these days. Also the texture resolutions. And yes the thing you told me, im following the same approach as of now. Thanks once again :D .
Yep - my left hand is happy D: ...but maybe it's worth to switch to my graphic tablet for this. Actually I don't like to model with it, but maybe I can get some kind of zbrush navigation I am used, too. I hope the wacom settings can 'emulate' this ^^
Thx for the comments, @Reza: I use a tablet that ı bougt 2 week ago. And ı know about my patterns looking unreal bıt ı am trying to get used to the natural shapes @Pipotchi: Like ı said ı will get used to the natural shapes.
Hard to say, i don't remember what features changed from CS6 or other versions. I would imagine CC is best if you ever want to work from a tablet or touch display maybe? CC is the only way i could ever afford photoshop anyway.
Thanks for the love guys. @Joe - Yeah, I do own it. Such a great book. I need to do some more traditional sketching. Tablet drawing feels a bit rigid and limited at times. I'll flip through it again. Here's some recent work from the DS2 contest.
Yea, drawing from the "elbow" is definitely a good habit to develop. This might be easier or harder depending on the size of your tablet, but it will help take the wrinkles out of your strokes. As a side effect, it also helps discourage "preemptive rendering", which i think we all need sometimes.
