looking good in the top down view, curious to see gameplay now, nice work! some of the ao looks mega strong on the foliage but it kinda works in the top view image anyway so thats alright I guess :)
Looking good! One note about your scene: you should adjust your view (or model) so that the hand not holding the flower is in better view. It overlaps the knee joint and gets lost. Rendering as silhouette sometimes helps with this.
In 3Do you can press P to switch between Perspective/Orthographic view and use I J K L fot the respective views in Ortho mode. Also F aligns the model to the nearest fixed viewpoint iirc.
I rely on ortho view extensively, probably about 95.567% of the layout of my models are created that way. Don't see how you could efficiently model, say a car or plane, using only the perspective view port.
Doing game art is a job :P I guess I kinda view artists like how I view bands, I like indy bands who do it for the love of music, out of devotion, not ambition or fame.
I haven't used the a view port renderer in maya but... Wouldn't making high end renders null the point of using a view port render? Wouldn't you have to make a new material and put it on normally to do renders?
Hey everyone I wanted share Mukmuk the Deep Sea Murloc. Characters aren't normally my thing, but murlocs are my favorite Warcraft creature and wanted to create one. You can view more on my artstation. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/mukmuk-the-deep-sea-murloc Thanks for viewing
Currently using 5.3.2 and 5.3.3 and I crash every single time I try to load a custom environment into the 3D view. This happens whether the 3D view is docked or undocked. Apparently this was a known bug and supposed to be fixed in 5.3.2 but I am obviously still encountering it.
I am interested in viewing some portfolio's this is not for a job offer but that doesn't mean employers won't notice your posted replies and links. This is for educational purposes only! Share the knowledge so individuals that are interested can become future UI artists can view what it takes. Thanks.
So I am sure this is a common question , I did my searches but came up empty handed. So my question is : Is there a fix to the max view port when you are viewing a model with a normal and alpha? So if you have a solution or a quest to find the answer; please help.
