I'm back! Unfortunately I injured my wrist AND broke my tablet, so I was out of commission for a little while. Here's some stuff from today: I'd really appreciate some crits on the first one, because I'm feeling kind of stuck -

I like the look of your grasses. but a lot of your rocks look a little too... glossy? I'm not sure. but some of them look wet in places that no water would be on them. also in the concept the glowing tablets are a pale grey in the sunlight, only black in the shadows. keep at it! -

Found how I was unable to draw straight lines. My tablet has the wrong proportions to my monitor D: I manually configured the proportions, adjusted the sensitivity levels and now, holy smokes it's perfect! Damn I needed to configure this thing for so long! -

So today I decided to try a treasure chest, the low poly model was built in Wings3D, and again the texture was painted with a tablet in photoshop. I know I have a long way to go before I can say i'm proud of my work, but practice makes perfect. -

get a powerfull desktop, and a seprate laptop. much cheaper, and more versatile. think about how you work, do you really want to be bent over some small laptop while modeling, or painting your textures, or sit at a proper desk, with a nice big moniter and tablet. -

aaaaaand this one is done too. Took more like 4 hours, but I think it turned out well and was worth the extra time. I think I still need to adjust my tablet sensitivity a bit for Painter-- some of my brushed go crazy at the slightest pressure. -

I'd say try 614.3. I tend to always give this one a try when something goes wrong and it helped me a few times. (of course there is no guarantee that it will work for you as it is pretty old and likely came out before the tablet you are using even existed, but it's worth a try !) -

durrrr, ive no idea actually how long i spent. will need to start keeping track hehe. not too long anyway don't ask why his zips the wrong way round (new comp and tablet, its taking me a while to get all the settings comfy :) ) -

I love it dude, but I think it needs better contrast, and some shading in the shadows (the "dark" areas aren't really dark and they don't have any forms in them). I did some quick curves (my tablet is not hooked up so its a rough job on the masks): -

Ok, so you want to pay a fortune for some worthless degree and gain knowledge that you could gain alone in a year from internet? Also remember that when you draw on computer you use a tablet and stylus that is pretty much a pen, you dont have a problem with that?
