Great job so far man, the materials on the armor and bone stuff are reading really well! There are a couple of things with the anatomy that are bothering me tho. -The rib cage area, I guess thats what its suppose to be (area above the abs in a half circle)... That just looks strange and off to me. I would smooth that out…
Funny thing, I worked out how to make them a thin and long length by chance when trying to make this basic shape but still have the issue that I don't know how to put this into this whole thing into the actual sculpting part of the program, like if I wanted to smooth this then add a face, how would you do that? A is for…
Editable Poly is your friend. Avoid Editable Mesh, which is just legacy code. Within Editable Poly: Cut tool: Is Max's equivalent of Split Polygon. It will snap to neighboring vertices or edges as you use it, or you can cut free-form right in the middle of a polygon with no snapping to edges. Connect tool: Allows you to…
ugh I was drunk when I posted. I should have avoided this conversation all together. Because the US produces the majority of the media for North America. Interesting you should bring up cringe-worthy appropriations, Deus Ex:HR had Leticia the Trash Lady.
Hey:) looks really wicked. I think you should bring out the wings(Lats) more. So you finished your dudley?never saw the finals! Btw, thanks to jhonny for giving up a nice tip :D never knew that! :P ah the pleasures of being self-taught :(
Easiest way would actually be select the edge rings and delete them, then extrude new ones. Sometimes going back a couple of steps is faster than fixing it. Another way would be to select the last edge ring, press 'b' in Maya and keep the soft selection close to not affect too many rings at the same time, then just use the…
yeah i really ought to invest in one, the spyder II we used at my last job was invaluable. still, just a rudimentary playaround with the particular monitor malcolm and i are using proves that you can't bring the settings to an acceptable range... really hoping someone can prove me wrong here :(
On the walk, the arms still seem pretty robotic and going from A-B without much easing in and out at the end of the strides, pretty linear. Also looks like they are literally linear, might want to add some small left-right movement in there. The shouldermovement seems pretty cool, but I wouldn't really say the shoulder is…
Thanks for the comments everyone! I think I'll call her finished for now, though. I already put her in the layout of my emergency portfolio: http://www.wayuki.nl/portfolio/ I'd rather fix up the other textures first and make some new stuff as well. It's rather barebones (read: crappy) ATM. It's also a very weird mix of…
14 years old? That's excellent texture work for someone your age! I'm much older, and I still can't texture that well. I agree with some of the other posters. It wouldn't take much to learn some rudimentary 3D skills. If you prefer texture painting, you can still specialize in it. I certainly think you have the necessary…
