Derp, I hooked my monitor directly into the HDMI for my PC, bypassing my Graphics card. In my excuse I wansnt the one to build this rig, lol. Thanks guys! -

that's the card I meant to link in my first post - changed it now and I totally forgot I plug into the video card and not mobo, derp - but it's good to know about the cable vs. adapter -

Does it add to the vert count if you have the same UV seams? I thought I read somewhere that it didn't. Edit: nvm I confused uv seams with the actual verts. Derp :\
