frostymoose, no it's not the same people, but you can actually unlock Ogmo (the Jumper character) in Super Meat Boy, and play with him (as well as many other indie characters, like Viridian from VVVVVV and mr Minecraft).
I think once you start talking soda can, then you are looking for THEM to pay YOU if your game starts selling like minecraft. I was gonna say hotcakes but that's so last century.
As an indie developer you really shouldn't try to make that the focus of your game, the game should foremost be fun to play, just compare eskil's LOVE to minecraft, both similar, but look at which one is the seller.
The game is based on the same type of gameplay as Minecraft and Terraria where you can gather resources, explore and create your own base, weapons etc. Also we just finished the new unblocky terrain! :)
just a reminder that games can be replicated infinitely with no effort and therefore have no inherent economic value funding development, a la minecraft or dwarf fortress, is the only business model that makes actual sense well, seeya
