looks cool so far. A couple of things bother me tho. His lower eyelids are super inset at the bottom, feels like he might be missing fat pads beneath his eyes. That and he looks like he´s tensing his neck muscles, might relax those a bit
The thing that jumps out to me immediately is the face. It feels more a little too old and hard compared to the concept and your references. I would definitely widen the nose, add some more fullness to the lips, take down the back of the jaw a bit, and relax the brows until you're getting into posing her.
Started working on a landscape, trying to keep it a bit loose and almost impressionistic (well, sorta). Not sure about the composition though, thinking of moving the castle a bit closer to the middle.. edit: Finished now! It ended up being quite detailed but what the heck, it was fun to do. Castles are quite relaxing to…
You can unwrap them like this in Max. Look for Spline mapping in the Unwrap modifier. Or you can try a simple Planar projection then Relax the hell out of it, then use the Straighten Selection tool in Unwrap. http://help.autodesk.com/view/3DSMAX/2016/ENU/?guid=GUID-9E98AEAC-F06F-4FAD-9091-DCD30AC9BB26
Yeah I tried doing it radially... But it's just acting retarded and it has all sorts of stretching even though I'm relaxing it and what not. Anyone else have some feed back? I really would appreciate the help, this building is what will be selling the scene and I don't want it to fall short on awesome.
...one more + ... for seven years now:) .. i guess that's the curse of the cg grunts:) so my advice is.. don't drawn in the work totally.. get outside, get a hobby etc. don't stick to the pc 24/7 - try to relax and you will start to find time and motivation doing personal art stuffz:)
if you want to see anything your best bet is to go to a company that has JUST released something anyone in prerelease wont probably have time and earlier on wont want to show anything... post release people are usually a bit more relaxed and have time...plus no massive secrets lying around
Thanks guys :) Cody, I do all types of concept's at work but these are all going to be strictly spare time things, pieces I do to relax at home so some environment stuff will inevitably work its way in there somewhere. As far as modelling them goes that's fine, model away if you wish :)
reading all the cam stuff and the forbid of it makes me think the musuems should offer the whole exposed stuff digitalized and make even some money with that. cuz that way u can relax and observe and sneak after the artsy chicks and buy a cd when u leave the musuem... now would that be good or not.
