Well, that's why I said working with extremely dense meshes is not a goid workflow. Everything slows to a crawl and becomes unmanageable unless you have a monster machine. Even scanning to parts and patching them together at high polycount is a nightmare. What asset are you working on?
Another update. Painted in more detail here and there. I'm gonna see if i can make some cool scratches on the helm now. I'll follow the reference for scratches too and see if i can add in some claw scratches from mutant monsters :+1:
Dont need to be accurate , I mostly need to model a new head for the monster body in order to match the seams of normal maps , I guess eventually I might fix the borders in photoshop? But how I convert a normal map to a displacement map ? Thanx for the answer .
You can get sulphur free oil based clay which are fine for making silicon moulds. Monster Clay is what we generally use at work. The Chavant NSP that Pior mentioned is another (I think the NSP actually stands for Non-Sulferated Plasteline).
