Polyunwrapper 4 via Polytools3d.com. It's like TexTools but regularly updated (since TT was last updated in 2010 IIRC) and just makes doing UVs so efficient in Max.
I usually use the TinEye plugin for Firefox (they've got one for most major browsers iirc). It doesn't catch everything, but they add more images pretty regularly.
Thanks for the crit, the eye actually is modelled concave for the iris :) The cornea is also modelled properly with a refractive index of 1.34 which should be accurate, perhaps my lighting is the issue?
Calling it a day. Again, not too pleased with it in the end. Didn't really justify the amount of time spent on it (15+ hours inc all versions?). Good learning experience though.
If the Elf Girl you linked above is your desired goal and you're still in need of a tutorial to get you going then surely Joan of Arc tut linked is perfect?
Excellent trailer:) The story is presented reminds me a lot of the Birthright story arc from back in 2000, sans Lex, especially all the craziness at the end. Very excited:)
Generally, if someone indents the eyes on a sculpt it is to indicate where the iris/pupil would go on the final. For a game model there is no need to retopo or include any geometry that won't be visible.
Along this same line of question, if someone could point me in a direction of more references such as the below image it would be a great help. Or even if there is an IRL engine that looks similar to it.
