thanks Ark! I'll take a look! Its been only couple days but I am getting speed up quickly! Also I think the equivalent of FF4 box deform, is 'lattice' in XSI. But I am not sure how it works, usually in max you do a vertex selection (points) and then apply FF4. when I do a selection inXSI and apply deform by lattice, it…

As soon as I'm done with the car I think I will follow the advises I received here and do something small and make sure it is very well done. I thought about doing the busted sword from FF7 or maybe something dragon ball related.
Japanese games for sure use a lot of standard Japanese symbology -- water as a symbol for death (FFX), etc etc I think for Western games you can kind of think of the main stuff as symbols for jingoist macho posturing.

It's symmetrical and parts repeat. So break it down that way. You should probably only have to model out a small fraction of this.…
Crysis is not a good example of realism when we talk about characters. The environments are pretty nice though. The l4d2 characters are the best of the best right now, at least for me. There is an article about their creation, in Cgsociety if i recall well. And if we want stylized character, Tera, the new FFXIV and…
Adventure games, yeah. They've been making a bit of a comeback however. I'd definitely check out Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, and Indigo Prophecy / Fahrenheit. (European version) Beat'em'ups... There's a decent amount, but they're all shit. The best recent Beat'Em Up I played was The Warriors, but there's also another…
Okay, I ffinished my graduation project so I finally could work on the sculpt! Wooh! So today I sculpted a rough mock-up (a lot of parts are still blobby, but atleast I have a good idea of the shapes and proportions now). I'm aware that the default T-pose of Aurelion Sol looks a bit different. Unfortunately, I don't have…
