Try delete the folder for your max in here, it might reset it. I had an issue where max didn't load anymore, deleted that folder, and it started to work again. You lose all your settings though. C:\Users\Cody\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax
Well I give up, I didn't see anything in a search of Scriptspot either. Best bet is to ask on the Discreet... cough... Autodesk forum. Someone's gotta know the answer to this seemingly basic question. If Ryno or KingofDaveness were around I'm sure they'd have an answer.
I've recently been trying to look into drawing apps for my iPad just to sketch ideas out or practice if I can't get to my computer. Two have stuck out to me. Autodesk sketchbook and pro create. If anyone has had experience with either or and has a recommendation I would greatly appreciate it!
Hi everyone, just thought I'd upload my stuff here (cuz why not? :p ) I'll save animation for the last (because I failed miserably :'( ). Software used: Autodesk Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter 2, Adobe Photoshop, Arnold. Comments and critics are welcome!
Hi, My name is Morris - Currently living in Stockholm, Sweden, where I study Game Development at 'Stockholms Universitet'. I liked the idea of the Digital Sketchbook so I'll give it a try, since I just recently began modelling in 3D (Autodesk Maya mainly) Constructive Criticism is more than welcome:) /Morris
1) physics systems probably handle this best (well better/way faster than any mxs implementation would). reactor/massfx or what ever the autodesk goto physics handler is these days :) 2) ? the "tree" is exposed via mxs rootnode && <node>.children && <node>.parent
it should work on 3ds max 2012 and up, depending on whether or not autodesk changed the SDK file structure in between those versions or not, like they did in between 2011 and 2012. You're welcome to try it out, but I only have 2012 installed on my computer i'm afraid :)
Thats putting it mildly (imo). It just one of the things that alone tells me there is very little passion for 3DS Max development (as a whole) at autodesk (again, imo). Edit: Oh crap, i didn't realize this thread was so old or i wouldn't have replied, sorry...
Thanks for the comments, and bubba for sharing those links. And basic render settings I posted a bit earlier. But basicly just MR with A&D material and some sky portals. Picked it up from this tutorial:…
You can find the icons on this folder [Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 20XX\UI_ln\Icons], backup original files and replace with your new custom icons. The top toolbar though, it's Perna's custom toolbar, you can get that on 3DSClean thread here on Polycount.
