I was thinking maybe cloning so much geometry (low + turbosmooth) was what was causing this, tried turning it off then cloning and had no luck :/ EDIT: Problem solved, turned out the two objects that were bugging out were proboolean products that had edit poly + turbosmooth modifiers on top of each other, simply collapsing… -

Not entirely sure this is your problem, but sometimes Max screws up it's smoothing groups...and it doesn't reflect it in the view-port..there's a couple ways to fix it..easiest seems to be Reset X-form. Covert to editable poly. Edit Normal-reset nomrals. Collapse back to edit poly...worth a try....couldn't check the file… -

Very nice! Not exactly true about the non-destructive part though... Edit Poly is dependent on the number of vertices coming up the stack, it will freak out if you change the segment count in the Plane below. I have to teach a lot of new modellers about this. It really sucks to get an OpenSubdiv with a couple Edit Poly's… -

Select your verts/faces or element and then, in the editable poly side panel, click 'Hide Selected.' To unhide, click 'Unhide All.' You can also 'Hide Unselected.' Are you using Editable Mesh alone? If you're using Editable Poly, or converting between the two, or using modifiers, these can all change the vertex order inadvertently. Sticking with Editable Mesh is the best course if vertex order is important to you. Also, Verty might help. Not sure if it still works in the latest Max… -

Thanks a lot for ur answer but I may be not understand well how append works , I have created to test a cube then I went edit mode appended a sphere , remeshed all and the shape looked deformed after like somehow merged but also created some unwanted blobs here and there then I go to smooth or edit the surface and it edits… -
