Made a robot arm in 3ds max. Just the high-poly model. I'm going to try and take something a bit simpler to completion. Also, started another project based on a concept I found on the net. Still a work in progress.
I wonder how much of that insurance is gonna pick up? They should have expected the bill regardless if he died or not, and it would have been more had he lived. Finally, the letter wasn't insulting, it's just how robots are.
I figured the no sci-fi line was mainly just to prevent crazy robots and such. I think my character is perfectly fitting of the 'style' of this competition (being almost identical to indianna jones), but I guess an official ruling needs to be made.
It really depends on what you're modeling. Generally mechanical stuff (like the robot I posted) is quicker to do with subdiv surfaces. But you might want to mix and match techniques. Definitely learn both subdiv and zbrush if you can.
This woman is a pre-vis of what would happen if you took a robot that made animated sex doll women from the future and fed it most of the songs from Dillinger Escape Plan - Miss Machine... and then peed on it. I'll take 2.
So finally some update from my side. Made some quick sketches for the shape of the robot : I`ll go for the raptor one . Jumped into max and started blocking in dem Shapes. Let`s see how it develops
he he 15 years. It's cool, she is an illustrator. She doesn't really enjoy 3d as she thinks its really technical and dull but understands my passion for it ben , perhaps he can wire that robot to do the housework.
2 of my models were also stolen from this bast***rd. Thanks to Leonid, who informed me about it over Artstation! https://www.renderhub.com/ardara/woman-robot-character https://www.renderhub.com/ardara/sci-fi-soldier
Casshern was based off an old 70's anime of the same name Casshern Gatchaman I guess they do look kind of similar, but the gatcha guys have capes and bird like visors and casshern has a helmet and a robot dog
Well, it's supposed to look like an ibex standing on it's hind legs. Those things on the side are some robotic shoulder implants, but it looks more like a goat-man with cyber limbs. Well, looks like I misspelled the thread name then.
