hey man, really gud work . well tank and apache looks gud . i like the detailing . and about ur demoreel that doom environment, wat to say cool dude, but u shud mayb try to make some more environments if u wanna apply for an environment modeller.
BAZOOKAAAAAA!!!!!! NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! man, i'm so glad this is coming out. I've been waiting for this cartoon for what seems like ever. man... all those Cobra soldiers probably had families and stuff... Covergirl <3 who doesn't like an ex fashion model that drives a tank?
The one thing i took away from watching that, was how awesome it was to see explosions and blood in cartoons (I watched dominion - Tank police the same day). Here I am today having watched over 200 anime series hahaha, perhaps it did warp me~
The surfacing looks nice :) How closely are you wanting to match the concept? At the moment the horizontal tanks in the concept feel substantially larger in diameter than the model, this also applies to the joining tube running between the two end pods. Looking forward to seeing how it all turns out :)
Ouch, had to reinstal windows. Had my textures on my desktop, luckily the Tank and Witch pics here had tex to full size. Jockey and bile are gone :( I'm glad I keep my programs files on a seperate HD though, my 3d files are safe.
damn master cheif is soo cool do you know that bungie say's he is like 7 foot tall and can flip 60 tonne tanks. You can even get full costumes which look "exactly" like the armor in the game and i mean "exactly"
Thanks dudes :P Colours are pretty much in place now, just need to get the details like the nails, scratches and so on, down.. @Skrucey: we already have a tank for the Germans, the Panzerkampfwagen Ausf. III http://i36.tinypic.com/2uqlocx.jpg We also have a sherman for the British. ^_^
Here are some wire frame shots of the tank to give you all an idea as to where I am modeling skill wise: It took approx. 72 hours to build everything (barring a few botched attempts which would tack on maybe 6 hours or so). And a wire of the Beetle:
Yeah it does, but the models are complex parts of tanks and sometimes projecting just creates a mess. I usually UV them properly and then rotate them to face the +X axis. At least if I could find a way to align them only on this axis and ignore the other axes, it would be great.
Congrats guys! Glad to see you are getting good reviews. Really, we are all quite relieved, because if you guys tanked we could probably look forward to lots more EA people around our offices, which we don't want. Oh, and the bonuses :)
