Looks pretty good. That is an awesome shoe. I think maybe the creases on the jeans might be a tad too sharp? Denim tends to be a thick material and have big rounded folds rather than sharp creases that you might see in something like silk. Other than that, I like it a lot.
Yay, accuracy ! :) If I may add, here are a couple remarks : - Using a Object Space workflow like you do has the huge benefit of generating bakes that are effectively universal. What I mean by that is that while there is a gazillion ways to generate and display Tangent Space normalmaps (every engine and every 3d program is…
I'm not sure how to explain this and how it would relate to the game industry but for prerendered work having access to a gloss map is very helpful. It's also kind of hard to explain on how to use it since you can do so much with it when combined with a color, spec color, specular map and bump. Sometimes you don't want the…
First of all, I am from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. And sorry for my bad English skills. Work-In-Progress №1 My inspiration of 80 & 90's are: "JEANS & SHARP colors" I tried to search what kind of colors are most inspiring 90's & what kind of clothing was 90's. So I decided that all was "jeans" and "colors are all kind of sharp…
I sure hope so, the details look great in the print, the small teeth on the skulls on the belts are so small and sharp, the rhomboid shapes on the belts are sharp. So far all the details came through the print even the most important piece, the face has all the small pores and wrinkles. The photos don't do it justice.
Thank you Guys! :) Yeah youre right Cougar. The Laser Sight is sharp edged at the back. Thats because the reference is sharp, too. And another reason is that this little outcoming Pins are extruded, not only a new cylinder, so to have a nice clean Shading all over the border edge i made an inset. Thanks, Gazu
@Dobbler I would bevel this outer edge (red) more it's a bit too sharp for baking purposes. Also, it's difficult to tell, but you may need to scale the inner edge (green) in more to avoid a sharp 45 degree angle and allow more baking information to be baked on to your normal map when that time comes. :)
I like the color scheme so far. IMO, the issue with the stock is the sharp line on the back end of the stock. It doesn't look bad, but every other line has something to feather the edge slightly before it goes to black, so it looks a little out of place having a sharp transition there. Other than that, nice work, keep at…
Hello, Brian. Actually, there is no specific reason. I just would like to create the integral (One-Material) knife which is the handle and blade are the same, but the sharpness. If someone created it in the real life, whole material is same. But blade is very sharp yet handle is very dull. So, people can graph it without…
BTW, bit of a tangent, but since Xoliul and EricChadwick both mentioned mip-mapping and the various pros/cons of it, isn't that the point of "anisotropic filtering", to allow mip-maps to be used but still retain the crispness when viewed at sharp angles instead of over distance (since traditionally mip-mapping at sharp…
