Hey Funky Bunnies, glad you like our art style. Hope I can answer your question as best as possible :) During the conceptual design stage of Mercury Shift 3D we decided to completely go without using any sort of texture. The reasons for this were practical: That way we can go for a rather unique and unmistakable look while…
I would advise learning ZBrush and Substance Painter as soon as you can. ZBrush is already an industry standard, a lot of studios use it in-house. Substance Painter will give you a big leap forward with textures, I believe it will become an industry standard if it isn't already, I think the sooner you learn it, the better…
Hey Everyone! I've decided to start a blog for Game Designers to practice their craft on a new blog. Each day a new game design criteria will be posted to the blog and everyone has a chance to leave their design ideas in the comments! Please help me spread the word and share! thats where many people are wrong art is like everything else, the more you practice, the better you get many people say "i wish i was this talented" what they forget is that the "talented" practiced the shit out of it for 10 years

Today I did not practice so much as I did a painting over the few studies I did. And also, I will not be able to do any studies or practices tomorrow as my gfs birthday is tomorrow. Day 18: 2d Studies: And the painting of today:

Good start, cheap, I can see grrg's influences. keep looking that way and you'll be fine. Also, you may want to do a few practice hands, heads and legs before the final as I notice you get a lot of torso practice.
