Where can i get a Tool for making md3_xxxx.pk3 files? Wich files need Quake 3 inside that .pk3 file? And the animation config file (animation.cfg). Is there a Tool for making an animation.cfg file for Quake 3? Or an Tutorial about making Quake 3 Models? Where can i download the Exportmd3.dle?
thanks, well i couldnt find much useful resources myself, most sites are long dead and the remaining ones use methods that are pretty complicated im gonna make a tutorial on how to make quake chars in the future when i have a site for that but for now a quick sumary of what you need to do: start modeling your character…
i wont say mentalray is obsolete... nvidia has now the controll back... and some really cool tech... with MDL and iray in substance its looking better than ever for mentalray... in two month we know more...
The guy's name was Armstrong Houston. His armor looked like Samus's but wasnt Chozo by design. You can actually find his corpse in Super Metroid right before the Eye Door that leads to Kraid. http://www.classicgaming.com/mdb/sm/npcomics_3-1.jpg
It supports MDL,MD3. 3ds,MDL. Everything is good, the UVW maps are good. In max I add lights, when i export to .X the light data doesn't seem to be there. you know what I mean? If that don't explain it please let me know and I will make screen shots and post them on the site.
Hm, let's see if I can get that md3 exporter for Blender to export playermodels... I should really try animating again. And as for nobody making Q3 characters anymore, there are still three in the queue, one even just submitted.
What I've been working on the last few months. There was a little contest in the sculpture II class to get one of the 6 spots for a sculpture funded by the overland park arboretum. I was picked I think they'd pay up to $300 per sculpture, more or less depending on how much the other kids used. It's actually made out of MDF…
Great work everyone! keep it up. @thunderclouds: great concept and sweet line work. @ lotet: Cool sculpt. Do have ideas for the amror. Might be a good idea to block them out before adding too much detail on the orc. Update: Shaded concept. I hope to finish the coloring this night and start the mdoel tomorrow.
