I have taken the model into Marvellous designer to build a foundation for the clothing. I am struggling with this quite a lot, particularly with making the cloth sit well with the metal rings and overlapping pieces. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Full Clothes Concepts: Probably going to keep the clothes of the upper body more simple and not too much, don`t want it to look overloaded. So no cape for Pirate Rakan... So, which direction should I go for?
Yeah, and perfect to be played in Dante's Inferno / Devil May Cry fashion. Yes, and if it'll be a truly game, can we change her clothing ala-The 3rd Birthday? Clothing destruction may not be pulled off as of this time though.
Hard surface is looking pretty good. Really study cloth and how it folds, because right now, it just looks real soft and lumpy. Bridgman has a good book on cloth anatomy you could check out.
Haha yeah it's funny. It's seem like cloth is starting simulation only when it actually is within view. But aside of that cloth simulation is actually quite good. It's nice they pulled it of on all characters, while in DAI it's only on some of armors ;/
I like the cloth, but I have to ask, whats with the thumb? I would wear the cloth down if possible to look like its been in battle/dirt/dust. Hips look a little thin, but that can be style choice.
this thread has kinda changed from the original post but you mentioned animated maps on the cloth. It made me wonder, how would one even go about making an animated loopable normal map for a piece of cloth?
all you fatties need to go on a diet! Med shirts ftw! id also be interested in the type of cloth its printed on as well, not a fan of the rough type of cloth used before. Also, Gray + Bright Green = win.
Hey all, latest project for my portfolio. A cavalier I'm trying to give some Spanish flare to it. The leather was hand done, the cloth was all Marvelous Designer. Still have a long ways to go with the cloth and face and hair. Its going to be game rez.
I agree with vavavoom with the distinct Daz3D look. I really like your first one. Gertrude in particular has some issues with the clothing in that it looks painted on. It's particularly noticeable about the shoulders and breasts - cloth doesn't cling to your underboob.
