Just a general question, I will be model some modern weapons full textures with hi poly bakes done and I would like to know what would be a good timeframe to shoot for? Let's say AAA quality weapon assets here. thank you
A 4k sky map is very extravagant, your graphics engineers/tech artists are going to be pretty upset with you. Layering is usually the way to go. Some tips here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/dqE21 https://80.lv/articles/creating-skyboxes-for-aaa-games/
Yes that's possible , but it will depend entirely on you ,you have to meet my minimum requirements and more Bringing you to a point where you can make some money wont be that hard if you are willing to put the time and do the exercises I think most of my serious students are working now in AAA ,mobile freelance or…
This is where a lot my anxieties (concerning ai+art) are. While we're not there yet, it also isn't some far-fetched fantasy to imagine that that could be a possibility. And to a similar idea regarding topology, UVs and workflow: These systems were all developed primarily from the standpoint of human authorship, right? If…
Same comments. I would put them into a game engine like UDK or CryEngine 3 so you can have AAA quality in-game rendering. Character looks cool but I'm not sure if it fit on the whole scene (1st one). Anyways, nice shots! :)
Btw, allot of you guys are working at big AAA studios, can't you get them to stand behind this? I think that if there's giants standing behind something like this Adobe would have so much easier pushing this up in the priority que. Just an idea.
seriously, im not even trying to find a job anymore its almost not worth the effort. Going to go the indie route and try our own small game. AAA dev just isnt worth it plus the companies have the business model all wrong to succeed
This is why I stayed making old school art, more time being creative rather than juggling layers and masks in photoshop, not really knowing what the end result will be until it's in engine. I'll gladly work on a AAA game if this automated pipeline becomes the norm!
So wait... the op is going to spend several years making a AAA game based on what a handful of devs say is going to sell more... fucking lawl... do you work in upper management for a publisher already? Cos you have the right attitude for the job.
very cool. bummer to turn it into an action game, but i guess that's where the AAA market is. I'll get it just to see some imaginative environments, and unconsciously dredge through all the combat, like i do with most games. KP -- Wayne Barlowe is my hero.
