If you're going for budget, I can't recommend the philips 8420 enough. It's 30", HD, has an HDMI connector and component, and comes with free shipping! Of course you have to get it refurb for the extremely low price, but it comes with a 90 day warranty (and Philips has amazing service) in case you somehow get a lemon.… -

You could just try and unhook the sata cable, turn it on when it asks for boot disk, turn it off again and hook the sata cable back on. Another thing to try is you turn it on and pop in a windows xp cd, then let it try to boot. It may sound weird but my computer is kinda fubar and only boots up with windows cd in the drive… -

I don't believe that a game can span across screens controlled by two different types of cards. Even if it could, the game could only run at the quality level supported by the lowest-end card in the connection. This would probably end up being a resolution of 1024 x 384, with a very poor framerate. And the low end card… -

As far as current generation cards go, I would say no Relief Mapping isn't worth it over real geometry. On my 6600GT I can expect Doom 3 to run using Normal Mapping - 120fps Parallax Mapping - 90fps (110fps if it's using Virtual Displacement) Relief Mapping - 38fps So it would just be as easy to use real geometry, but… -

You were right daz and mop, I was being unfair laying the blame on zb3 like that. Turns out it was my settings (Unify has to be turned off when importing).
