Studios and IP are both assets. In the case of a successful series of games, keeping the IP and Studio paired together makes the most sense, as it minimizes risk. (ie Saints Row and Volition). In the case of unsuccessful series of games (games that are unprofitable/do not break even), the IP has value but it can make sense…
Me and a friend recently published a 2D game on Google play. It's free to play. Really simple. The art style is based on gel electrophoresis. It's our first game, so check it out! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=deaus.dnabreaker [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2thaq-dsEg"]DNA Breaker Gameplay -…

The minolta 50mm 1.7 is the first lens you should buy, you can pick up a used copy for $75-100 on ebay. This lens is sharp from about F2-5.6 or so whereas teh kit zoom is sharp from about F5.6-F8 or so, which in use means you can use the 50mm in a wide variety of lighting conditions. Its so cheap that it just makes a lot…
i think the dsta comes in about 25mb, then there's a couple of overheads. There's some vert colouring going on, but mostly its material colours that are auto-UV'd to a palette texture to get the drawcalls down. Then it's got an unfiltered, banded toon-ramp off the light direction, and a faux-shadow map on top of that on…
