The most obvious problem is gameplay. All lines of sight for the player in a curved level like that are very short, and this would have some serious impact on gameplay. Messing with layered procedural shaders in Blender. could do the same thing in subtance, but at least here I can do it procedurally before I have to bake them down. far from great , but I have just started really I guess that subtance works with meshes without fully finished uv's , using tri planar projection or similar -
Ink sketch matchlock musket
I'm working on a new game project and I thought I would share the player's weapon. It's a magical matchlock the player can upgrade in a modular fashion. Its suppose to resemble a really rough ink sketch and look 2D. Its about 3000 - 7000 tris depending on how many upgrades the player is using. -

MK vs DC was sluggish. And I haven't like the 3d MK animations ever. Static text book pose to static text book pose for all the combos. (dial a combo, xxa, xxy, xxb... UGH!) SF4 isn't Guilty Gear XX but I wouldn't call it slow. It's about on par with Soul Caliber 4 in terms of speed. I'm loving it. A good return to form.… -

You could also have the flashlight be affected by the electric surge, with the player trying to tap/shake it back into life, causing brief flashes of light. Could be very effective, seeing a creature in brief strobes as it gets closer and closer… -

ps I don't understand the dumbed down comments, a skilled player can wipe the floor with an average player, any day of the week. when 2 experienced players duke it out, its a tense battle.
