Update on Kobe's body. Just finished early stage of clothing and added a pair of Air Jordan 8 on his feet. Rather than going for fully realistic clothes I modified it a bit to be easier to print later. Stay tuned! www.poligone.art
this looks pretty good but the cloth areas look like paper with a cloth tileable dropped on it. I don't see the weave that should be happening with those areas.
Can you make a quick tutorial on that cloth simulation please :) it looks like you're just rolling it while the one end of the cloth is snapped to the tube?
Thank you! Inspiration wise, I wanted to practice working on a younger character, since I've heard they can be a bit of a challenge to model! And the reason he has pointy ears is because I find it more interesting to model within the fantasy genre than someone in street clothes. :)
Really well done. My only quibble would be the complete lack of simulation in the hanging cloth in your render. The rest is so good, but that straight-as-a-board cloth is very bothersome in comparison.
Worked a little on the cloth pieces around the handle. Originaly all of the cloth was red, but I don't like it that much after all... Changed it to blue and imo it looks better than before.
Yeah kilts are made of very thick and heavy cloth. Yours looks a bit too much like silk at the moment. When shaping it just have in your head "heavy cloth".
http://shop.steelseries.com/index.php/surfaces/steelseries-qck-mass.html Got this nice thick rubber/cloth one at home. Very comfy :) But I can't stand non-cloth mouse mats.
laundry bin that automatically washes and dries my clothes without my noticing. Then some kind of elaborate wallace and grommit system to fold and place said clothes back into my closet.
