Did you try this? Tools > Channel Info > select the channel > Clear. You can also use Utilities > UVW Remove, though it only works on Mesh, and removes everything.
Look into the pre-multiplied alpha settings when rendering. For quick fixes have a look at the Layer -> Matting -> Defringe/Remove White Matte/Remove Black Matte in Photoshop.
I would remove the gray bits by hand or find a way to get substance to remove them. They really shouldn't be there. Don't accept what the program spits out if it is wrong.

Yeah, there's a bug with removing widgets on unload/loading a new level--the simple fix, if I recall correctly, is to call "remove from parent" on any widgets prior to calling the level load.
Just as an update, I have tried removing all of my preferences and reverting to default, that didn't help. And I tried removing all my start up scripts, but it made no difference.
Could you use the highpoly to create a lowpoly eg remove all mesh smoothing and remove extra supporting loops? that might be the quickest way to get a good lowpoly of a hardsurface model.
It's very possible. The uninstaller is located in *\Program Files\Quixel Suite 2.0\ - you should be able to remove it there. Teddy would know if there's anything else you need to remove as well. :smile:
