I was more exited when I read the credits in the following fashion: 'Hideo Kojima Guillermo Del Torro Norman Reedus in Silent Hills' Kojima is already in the Metal Gear demo game and I'd love to run around as Del Torro. Also, the way the title was presented, I read it as 'Silent Hill S' for whatever reason.
Not exactly a LoL level art breakdown, but a great read on art direction... https://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/game-updates/features/dev-blog-defining-rifts-visual-style Also a bit here...…
TF2 uses Source, so you will need access to those tools to make a mod for TF2. Can't give you more info on the mac side of things, except to recommend that you dual-boot with Windows if you're planning on doing any game dev stuff. Most programs used in game dev are primarily or exclusively for Windows.
It's for the people, by the district then, not for the people and by the people. I'm not complaining about dem's losing the election 8 years later, I'm just showing the flaw in the system. The people voted, and the people lost. The electoral college voted someone in, that the people didn't. Districts get redistricted every…
The last year or two of Blender dev has been focused on one group making a movie, and another group making a game, while the Blender devs fixed up the problems that those guys had during the process, and added the required features or usability. And because of that, I no longer uninstall the late 2.4x builds in disgust.…
Haha, yeah, I totally agree with you on those. Game Dev Quick Looks make me cringe - it's like they brought the game's PR-Man into the office. Saying that, the Skull Girls folk had some pretty interesting things to say in regards to game dev philosophy, so it's not always bad.
wow its been a while since I've seen anything related to eva... and I was one of the ones who def dug it.. (might of been because I got into it when I was going through my teenage angsty drama phase ;-) ) thanks for the heads up i'll def. have to give this a look.
Because this looks like a Deus Ex concept you may want to check this out. This was one of the monthly noob env art challenges that also used Deus Ex work. May give you some ideas seeing how other people worked. http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=126422
nathanbarrett: yeah, I use templates (by Tor Frick for his one-texture environment, Jordan Walker for his Bathhouse Redux, and also Vincent Joyau's Deus-Ex Apartment) I love the art style and want to try and create a scene that evokes a similar mood. (Bathhouse Redux,Deus-Ex Apartment)
AO will be looked into :) thanks kmactastic. I'm also happy to say I've finally gotten Oculus Rift to work. Both dev kits now work with the standalone game thanks to some great UE4 support. the reason why it took so long was because the dev kits aren't always at my disposal.
