Really there's just AAA and indie. If it was a game that got shipped and you see it on Gamestop's shelves, it can be considered AAA. You may be thinking about what has been recently coined "Blockbuster games," like Assassin's Creed or some other massively funded project.
Working in mobile games, if the game isn't fun when it is a prototype, it won't ever be fun. In my experience anyway. Always for uni students i stress the most important thing is getting the gameloop finished, and then making it fun, it doesn't matter if the first art assets are bad.
Quokimbo , GameStop does that shit though when you pre-order games with them you get special weapons or whatever. Yeah, it is a way to get ppl to buy more of your games, but everyone does it. "If you pre-order now, you get into the beta."
I'll take a break and go outside. Visit Gamestop and talk with the guys, or go to Best Buy, etc. Sometimes detatching yourself from your work is the best thing you can do. Lets you mull it over in your head at your own leasure.
up all night playin WoW and slept in today so i missed my wii-order :/ don't feel too worried though as they are going to be more abundant than the ps3, plus i think gamestop etc.. is playin it safe with preorders this time arounds and limiting numbers.

[edit: beat me to it ] I had considered buying Roboblitz, but Xnormal is fine enough for previewing that stuff for me for now. Wasn't UT3 supposed to be released for PC next month or so? I noticed the PC release date just up and disappeared from EB and Gamestop..

GameStop was holding a Saints Row IV Weapons contest to which the winner would have their weapon added to the game as a DLC. This was my submission for the contest: The TurBITE. It sucks the enemy toward you and then smashes them with a bear trap. I did all of the sculpting in ZBrush and then composited renders in…
Game Informer's May issue has a big "exclusive" article for GTA IV getting the cover. I figure scans will show up online as always but I'm looking forward to the issue since I was bamboozled into a subscription from gamestop. Just a heads up. Looks ace by the way.
