@bafly I'm up very late but I can give the script a shot after I've had some sleep. To clean up those stray UV seams from the detach, you can select each UV shell, convert to contained edges and sew
Interesting location concepts, ErikNilsson! I like the sort of ever autumn feel of the fungal environment and the creaturure inside the glass container of the second environment attracts my curiosity about the place and what happens there. EiGHT, STRIKER, looking forward to seeing an update on the latest works!
so you are weighing looking great versus being a long play experience i go the opposite way non spetacular art + short as hell play time = Portal contains both the "bad" elements in your original statement but one of the best games in years
To be honest if I was to decide to do a site with scenes I would make thumbnails for each scene only. Each scene would have it's own page and that page would contain the textures and props used if the props were cool enough. That's how I would organize it
I think where it is now is fine, but maybe it'd be better if it didn't have the long-winded explanation of what it contains? Right now it makes it seem really important because it takes up a lot of space. I dunno ... you're the man with his finger on the button
Appreciate the feedback 🙏 Maybe I'll find some time to build the other container too (and potentially expand the atlas). Thanks a lot for pointing it out, makes sense! Yeah, nice to meet a fellow hamburger on the forums cheers 🍻😀
Looks like a great start! The texel density seems to be a bit inconsistent (maybe exacerbated by the perspective). The top of the table might be justified if you know for sure you'll stick with the softer marble texture or if it will be covered by a table cloth (doesn't seem like it in the concept, though) but maybe you…
Today we tested out the breaking of our containers for the game. This is how the simulation in 3DS Max looked like. Everything was created in 3ds max. If you have any questions feel free to ask away!
Environments are probably the best bet... they contain props too :) It shows a more broad skill-set (Lighting, composition, etc. ) plus I've seen more openings for Environment Artist rather than prop artist.
Hello people! Hey, I need some feedbacks on this~ The concept is like those test tubes containing those flowing energy that rubick has, and its overflowing! and yea, it has the liquid flowing animation too~
