there's also an undo bug in 2008 that seems to discard the undo list randomly when doing animation related stuff. someone on the autodesk support site mentioned there would be a fix for this in a couple of weeks.
Upvoting on the Area has a definite impact on future features, so I suggest doing that if you haven't already. Talking with Autodesk developers, they definitely factor those votes into their development plans.
check this, (i only scrubbed through it quickly, but it seems to cover it) [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysJ-NkpIYTs"]Autodesk 3ds max Tutorial render to texture - YouTube[/ame]
Hmmm...understood. That's upsetting as well. Luckily Autodesk gave me a call yesterday, apparently they're not aware of this problem? Sent over some screen captures of the Overlapping issue and this Marquee one.
^ yup Autodesk purchased it, it can be found with a bit of searching though i think the Dota2 fx in technical is pretty much the same thing or better than the old version, to me anyway.
Yep, the F1 help. Autodesk also has online versions of the 3ds Max help, but only 2011+ versions. :( http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=9861583
Yeah, I thought the autodesk case held that EULA's in general aren't totally binding? Then again, I didn't read that article completely, and could have that WAY off (probably do).
Here is one I know of.....hope it helps. http://www.laurenscorijn.com/viewportshader Also check out http://cg.tutsplus.com/tutorials/autodesk-3ds-max/gi-rendering-techniques-in-3ds-max/
so people keep saying HTML5 needs to replace flash and whatnot, but until I get an Adobe HTML5 or Autodesk HTML5 program, then I'm sticking with Flash and so is everyone else.
yeah reload button is pretty crap. I'd even click view image and see my updated texture pop up in the window, but not on the model. Hopefully autodesk fixes it at some point.
