Hello everyone, these are my first two props for my portfolio. I have six months left of school (yeah it's the Art Institute), and would really like some crits to make sure I'm going in the right direction. Thanks in advance for the crtis! Both the texture are 512x512, the gas can has 924 tris and the lantern has 1,345…
Oh and BTW, after posting an image you can turn it into a link by editing the post, enabling html mode ("<>" icon in the post editing panel) and replacing the original "dumb" image code with this : - - - - - <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.artstation.com/YOURNAME"> <img alt=""…
Hi Just to give you a heads up what ever you are using to link your images to on Polycount it does not work in the UK, maybe europe? Due to geo-blocking due to licensing agreements.
@Neox Thank you very much for your reply. I don’t have any knowledge of 3D modeling, and since I’m the one who commissioned the work, I have the modeling files. What I’m wondering is simply whether there are any issues with the current sculpt when it comes to creating a cartoon-rendering style model like the images above.…
Hi and welcome to Polycount! We don't use BBCode tags here, like [IMG]. Just use the Insert Image button (which looks like a landscape picture ) and paste the full image URL (starting with http and ending with jpg or gif or png). Or you can just drag-n-drop directly into your edit. More helpful info on this here:…

For example, I didn't do the trees in these images, but they work well as portfolio shots because I explain exactly what I did. http://ericchadwick.com/img/mmo_worldbuilding.html This way the viewer…
Eric Chadwick, Thank you for your response. The cyan edges in the image represent the hard edges and UV seams. I baked the texture using Marmoset Toolbag, and the issue appears both in Marmoset Toolbag and Substance Painter. As Neox mentioned, I tried it, and it is indeed due to the texture space being too small.
Hey everyone! Build this tool recently, it gets input from the 3D scene and then passes it into an image model, so you can fly around and do AI "renders" of the environment. Can be useful if you need some consistency, want to try different texture variants, etc. Would love to hear what you think! Video:…
Greetings all! I would love some feedback and advice on this WIP I have. This is the first "big" thing I've tried in modo and the first time I've tried using subD's. At the moment I am only trying to create a good looking model. Later on I might try and make a game version of it. I would also like to try…
