shouldn't have any problem trimming it down to a respectable polycount. for instance, there's no need for the trim on the arches to be modeled - texture that shit. you added a lot of shape detail to those panels on either side of the skull - in the miniature most of them are plane rectangles
Update 2 Sci fi Trim sheet (WIP Scene ) Main trim sheet for wall assets in my scene. Version one of this texture until I get a chance to play around with it in my scene and make changes as needed. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/v10a8A
Thanks guys :) Miyavi: Honestly, that's an older piece and my technique has probably changes since then - but - it's nothing more than standard and trim dynamic. I'll build up the surface using clay, use trim to make a harder edge and standard to make the seams and stuff.
Clip Curve and Trim Curve are two options if you want them to be really straight. Trim will actually cut into and replace the topology of the model, while Clip will just push existing vertices in. Either one should be fine if you're still in a dynameshing stage.
Hey YakZ thanks for the feedback :) I scaled up the crystals and exaggerated some of the edge trims and beveled the corners of the railing and bottom platforms. I also worked on the rock texture (or floating ground texture) and added a little more color to the edges and trims.
@Ged: Thanks Ged! I know right? Sooooo much money would come out of my pocket for that game.... @Shendoo: Thanks man! @JamesWild: Hey James, He does have a spec, but one that I cranked out in like 10 min. Right now I am working on a base for him and I will spend some good time on getting it right. He's my favorite so I…
sampson: haha, cheers mayne :P fabio: good point on the neck dude, got a bit more proportions tweaking to do still i think DKK: cool stuff, i've tried warping this head so much it's gettin really crazy, redo coming up asap (gettin lost in the cloth stuff atm :P) Anux: haha, really wanted to go with the pantaloons but…

A world beyond the windows now exists! The trims sheet still needs to be refined but I won't need to touch the UV's as much now. After polishing the trim sheet I am going to make some dirt masks/decals so everything doesn't look so new.
You could also use a trim sheet. You can look over this GDC presentation for Sunset Overdrive for an in depth explanation of how they used their trim sheets. You could also combine this with tiling textures, by using a second UV set, and get some nice material variety.
