It seems very awkward. I can imagine a LOT of pushing/pulling to get anything decent. I noticed that you can't mirror a mesh, then tumble it, you're locked to orthographic views, and there's no real 'draw' tool. I got the best results drawing freehand curves then pulling/pushing them around... But then it IS free, and… -

I would push the color of the lava over to the yellow side of the spectrum. Right now it appears a kind of red peach color. Overall, I agree with the other comments. It's seems to be a lot of this red brown color on everything that takes away the richness of the environment. I would say take these screen shots and paint… -
