indeed I usually separate chunks off basically by angle, relax them, stitch them together where appropriate and then pack everything. works in everything (although I prefer to use max because obviously) not relying on fancy tools means you don't end up stuck when they go away.
Really gorgeous and relaxing ! Got to agree with @JesseL about the waterfall foam though, it does seem to have a slightly different style to it, and transparency might help ?
Thank you! that is amazingly helpful. i imagine the same goes for the other modifiers? (smooth, relax, etc?) again, thanks. i couldnt find that anywhere!
It's surprisingly relaxing to learn I'm not the only one who shudders when looking this plant with pores. This is kinda weird, just realized even there's a name for that feeling.
tweaking hell. put the arms in a more relaxed position. dunno, maybe i should redo the normal maps for the arms and legs. not happy with the eyes either.
The times I've tripped have been more relaxing than this, but that's fine, have a great 2015 to yourself and people you like - and everyone in the house of Polycount.
There is texture stretching going on. You gotta relax your uvs. you usually want all the squares on your checker map to be the same size and proportional.
