Hey Shiv, Knald has "enable noise reduction" enabled by default. This makes the textures slightly more blurry/smoother. Maybe that's what's causing it? As for the texture I feel like the space between stones might be a bit to wide? Depending on what the size of your stones are supposed to be of course.
Very nice, I like it, too bad the scale is off :poly136: Also fill the stones with pure white/gray/black and set it to overlay at low opacity, maybe it would help to break the flatness and bring some variations/deep in the stones. Definitly looking forward to see more :)
This is going into UT, right? I'll most definitely download this model when it's done: I'll know instantly when I've hit a server with you playing on it :P Anyway, is this a living gargoyle or a stone one? 'cos if he's stone...he needs cracks! Maybe even bullet holes
This sounds like a nice idea, but your website is coated in AI slop (How many fingers does a toddler have lol?) and it's a ton of words without actually getting to the point (where is the system actually documented?). The whole site seems to be 90% AI created, where's the watermark explaining that? Also, there seem to be…
the stones could use some love. I made rocks recently think less saturated X 20 also I'd make the stones smaller cause as it stands now you will be able to tell it's tiling, same thing with the pink flowers. As for hand painted I'm not a very good judge on that.
Cheers, I was using some references of stone arches, most of them are Arizona type rocks with smooth erosion lines. The others were essentially flat stone, which I had originally started to make, but it seemed so uninteresting. Gonna try to run off another attempt tonight.
You have a nice scene coming along! I think the stone would look better than the wood but it's hard to say with out seeing the stone texture. I say try it and see what seems to fit more into the scene. Also what version are you using the freesdk or eaas?
Hi again, I manged more time for this piece ! I went for another feel about the blade, though the blade should be of steel I wanted it to be like if it was carved into an emerald stone or any coloured stone to be honest. A color variant(s) test: **What do you think about these ?**
Looking good, Jac! I would echo the feedback given above. Some of your artistic choices could be a little more bold. Don't be afraid of being a little brutal. If you make a crack in the stone, make a CRACK in the stone! :) Definitely shaping up to being a nice little scene.
I agree with Cheese_Shinobi about the metal looking awesome and the stones needing more work. I think it is the fat black lines separating the stones that makes everything feel flat, perhaps add a little bevel and a bit of color there instead. For the wood, a clearer separation between planks would help a lot :)
