I do not draw on paper often anymore, just to become better with the tablet. Mostly I draw on paper just because my Tablet is not at hand. Also, I am not that good at drawing in general. Thats my last drawing so it schould somewhat reflect my current skill level. Personaly I think I need a lot more practice, good thing…
Are you making sure you're "Edit" mode is turned off? And that you arent in any translation modes (move/rotate/scale), you have to have to be in Draw mode (Q) and then you can hold the ~ tilde key and left click drag to move the canvas. Should work fine.
yeah. sorry dude i should've been more clear. wanting something more interactive. click and drag a straight line and it'll split all overlapping edges. bonus tools has the draw split. but fucked if i can get it to behave. and again. not as well integrated as one might hope. . .
ok i happened to show up to a concept art club thing this afternoon and they had a quick challenge to draw a super hero version of our academic director Christian Bradley... I drew him as a star trek captain... thought I'd share this for all those who remember this goofy guy :P
I'm a bit unsure when it comes to humans or humanoids in art, I've attempted to draw Durotan from WoW though. I've drawn anthromorphic animals for a longer time so that has helped me a lot when I get into humans. I hope you like, critique is welcome!
Yeah my concept is mostly in my head. I have not drawn it out on paper because I really suck at drawing (I will be taking courses this fall). I will be using the set pieces to make a basic blockout, and then I will be adding more details into places that I think need them.
Thanks for your advice, Sniknej! I decided to explore it in detail and drew a separate art. Deep-deep rendering... Found out mistakes and some interesting details. At the same time, I thought over the main drawing and decided to change the concept. I'll try to sketch another concept today.
Not bad at all, i see good improvement on the last figure posted. When im drawing i usually pick out a drawing that looks that i previously did and look into what i did right with that particular piece and try to replicate it in the next one. I also highly recommend copying and reading every page of Bridgmans complete…
I just don't see loading screens as something that could possibly take off. Loading screens being personal has advantages and disadvantes: Since they are personal, I think a large range of artistic styles will be accepted. The downside is, I think loading screens will never take off in the trading communities, and will not…
If you want to use ZBrush, then you could do it by using the pinch brush in combination with the standard brush f.e. Otherwise you could draw an alpha map (height map) in PS and drag it onto the surface in ZBRUSh. Or you just use the painted height map for converting it into a normal map (with ndo2 f.e).
