i think i replicated your problem with the scanline renderer... in the diffuse bitmap turn the image alpha sorce to NONE opaque.. then keep in on the opacity.. like so
Crits are always good, but some of them are hard to replicate, to be honest most of these people don't realize how much skill it takes to do something like this by yourself, just my two cents.
That's not a functionality in blender, in fact it's simply a total lack of ngons support :> I tried to replicate the effect using macros in max, no success so far. But I'm sure it's possible with enough maxscript knowledge.
I am trying to replicate the effect in Unity3D but have some problems with how to actually deform the mesh. Maybe some of you wizards here can share some light on that matter? Kudos
There is no native feature for that, but you should be able to copy/replicate a mask into a fill layer. Then just create two fill layers, one being white, the other black and you will get your mask.
thanks paroxum! you wouldn't be able to post a screenshot of your settings would you :$, i'm trying my hardest and I can't replicate it, it's more square and chiseled, and not so lumpy... arghhhh
Thanks for the info and help, I will try to freestyle it. When working from concept is it expected of you to replicated it 100% in form and measurements, or to just capture the overall aesthetic and intent of the original concept art?
Thanks for offering to help Pyrzern. Sorry it took so long to reply. I thought I did already but every time I try to reply on my phone, it saves it to a draft instead of actually submitting the reply. I think I've got everything pretty understood from the Tut up until step 10, 11, and 12. It just seems to skip over way…
Using Jessica Murphy's "Kiara" piece as an example, Her albedo: Her opacity: My attempt utilizing Marmoset's dither shader: As you can tell, the dither shader does not emulate the Sketchfab set up . Is there a way to replicate it?
I would think it would be awesome if you can replicate a scene from the movie for your final render. I think that would be really awesome. - D. Carmine
