I'm writing a simple script for my wife, when I click this button it checks to see if one of the UV sets is named lightmap and should producer an error and stop. If it doesn't find light map it should run the second part of the script. For some reason even when light map exists as a UV set it runs the error, but then also…
Hello polycounters! i have a simple feature that it checks if the Uvs are "Corrupted", the tool show the error when the number of UVs verts is less than Geometry Verts ( polyop.getNumMapVerts $ numChannel < $.numverts ). I have discovered, this error is by 2 cases that i actually know: - Dead vertices - UVs flipped (…
yeah I'm starting to realize the importance of quads. Quads is a new thing for me to be honest. I come from the thought that quads=bad. Part of the reason some of my models have problems is because I get into this optimizing frame of mind. I start collapsing loops and removing tris in an effort to crunch it down to below a…
Day 35: (Image heavy) Getting closer to solving major baking errors. Turns out Substance Painter "forgets" my UVs in a way where some UV islands spread across multiple islands which creates ugly errors. Collapsing the modifier stack and converting to editable poly seemed to help, but the issue still persisted in a smaller…
Thanks for taking the time to answer, i really appreciate it. However by only beveling the high poly mesh, it creates a weird sort of visual effect on the low poly edges, trying to make them look beveled i suppose. I duplicated the low-poly and beveled and subdivided in that order, before applying to the other low-poly…
Dear Noors, thanks for quickly support. However I ecountered problem before the bake. (I bake on UVCh2 and use VrayNormalMap ch1). I have error in simple render. If you can help me, I upload my beta scene. https://mega.co.nz/#!QYQB0AQa!NqkvZCxQvm8Cav_QC2BzpW9rVdlEYL0cT7ndyltYvkg In max scene, you wiil find RNM material…
sdfsdf I think there's your first mistake. You don't lose anything by using hard edges where your UVs split, and the end result looks nicer because your normal maps will have less extreme gradients which you usually never want. Read this. As for the projection errors, it'd hard to tell by not knowing how your UVs look…
There isn't a special technique I use for baking. It's just a lowpoly, a cage (pushed out automatically from the LP with no manual edits), and a highpoly. I don't paint anything out. I do low-res test bakes and if I see problems I correct them in the geo itself, like adding geometry to control skewing and shading. It's…
1. I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing. For example, in the posted snippet, if I remove the if state and just have I get the following error when trying to run the script "-- Type error: Call needs function or class, got: undefined". I assume that it is either because i have a syntax error where the function…
The first two times I tried to install, I got the following error message, and TexTools still displayed V3.2 as the version even after restarting Max. The third try appears to have worked fine, and doesn't yet appear to have any other issues. Just thought you'd like to see the error: -- Error occurred in…
