I went into some adventures on my own recently and found some other nice resources on this topic. Here is what I have which is pretty much the bin packing approach: but here are 3 other methods: http://kossovsky.net/index.php/2009/07/cshar-rectangle-packing/ Cygon packing Arevalo packing
With production nearing it's end we decided to redo the main menus for the game. Each of the four solar systems has a unique and fully animated background. The character art will also change with progress through the game to adjust for the state of Harrison's adventures through space. Check out the new art and give us some…
I'm actually really glad Peter Jackson made the changes. I loved the books, but they were very long winded and had no real since of pacing at times, though they felt like a true adventure. The movies are more action-oriented and such, but the changes were good for film I think. Btw, Tom Bombadil will be in the hobbit. :)
Thanks very much, I love the suggestions, I can draw but I'm not the most adventurous with my drawing ideas. I like the added war paint and pagenest branches it really gives it a lot more exaggeration. Good to meet another who went to Staffs, everyone I know in the industry went there too.
Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks is fun as hell. Played it for 2+ hours about a week ago and had a ball. The ko-op mode makes that game (I was playing it with a coworker). If you like fighting or adventure games its a good buy. Think a MK version of god of war. But then again I may be biased.
Oh awesome. I'll definitely have to pick your brains from time to time, such as asking for advice when applying for job roles etc. :) I've only applied for one so far, which was more of a 6 month work placement. Suffice to say, I didn't feel my portfolio was ready as it was and I wasn't successful. EDIT: Noticed on your…
Swirl could be even better -> bringing more movement to the picture(give life to dead desert , contrast is always good ) , and ties nicely with traveling theme If you are more adventurous you could give this swirl of sand eyes/face and end up with new character - sand spirit/fairy something playful or just a mirage
Awesome work as ever LVDB. Keep them coming and contgrats on your new adventures. Sadly some people like Zwebbie find the internet the only way to be heard and they use negativity. (I suggest reposting in a new thread and deleting this one, we will all respect it as a good reason. And then report him to the admins! I will…
Stylized character project. Modeled in Maya, textured in Photoshop, and textured / sculpted in Mudbox. The Shaman is a recluse that wanders the lands and dwells in caves. She spends her days studying hexes and spirits. One fateful night, as she explored an ominous dungeon she had come across, she discovered a dragon’s eye.…
Nah. Its maybe okay as Survival Adventure but as Horror Game its bad. It has the old problem with tell and not show, the Story pieces are cheap integrated and the world feels random. The level design is okay but they have no Story. Some levels have so many crates to destroy, i feel like im in Diablo. :poly124:
