Wow! Thank you, everyone, for these incredible feedbacks which has helped me to figure out where my skill level is at and what I should do before getting a job. @griffitii Thank you, John! Btw your hallway complex is looking great! I totally agree and understand that my portfolio is not amazingly impressive. And…
I also saw that including reference images I looked at in the thread would be helpful. Thanks Fabi_G These are two of the main ones, but there are plenty of others. The first is pretty much the style I was going for, while the second is where I got the basic shape of the alley. Though looking at them again I can see that…
I would recommend looking closely at real-world locations that use a lot of neon lighting, and try to replicate that look and feel. For example Ginza district in Tokyo comes to mind, especially the back streets which are not so intensely lit as the main streets. https://whenin.tokyo/Tokyo-s-Best-Backstreet-Alleys Remember…

Alright so my next project is going to be an alley way in Bruges. Gonna put it in Unreal 3 so although it's going to be just an alley I want it to look complete at every angle. Here's some of my ref: and progress: Definitely would like some comments, ideas, and critiques before I get too far into this thing. Thanks guys.

I felt inspired to do an alley scene when I lived in Chicago and saw these awesome dumpsters and alleys covered in graffiti. I'm going to add dirt, garbage, and litter around them, and also do a night time and day time scene. This is just still somewhat of a block out. Please let me know what you think. First post!
yeah before making chips in the walls with zbrush you might want to consider the trillions of other things found in an alley that are worlds more important to sell your scene... Like fire escapes, rain gutters, garbage, random cardboard boxes and various kinds of trash bins to name a few. I'd suggest looking at reference…
Hi all, my name is Alley and I am an iClone user for many years. I also run two stores in the Reallusion Marketplace called Prop Masters and Fashion Alley. I am interested in joining in on the game contest and maybe share a little knowledge about iClone - my strength is in character creation though the use of default…
