I love this. The execution is really strong, and the prop work and modeling are great. Overall, good job.I freaking love Lisbon and Portugal, and I’ve wandered these streets a lot, so you really captured the vibe. One thing that can elevate good work to fantastic work here is values and tonemapping. Let me visualize what I…
Hi! Im starting out an illustration - basically its a hunter gatherer picking berries or fruit from a large bush. Ive never really painted a bush in this context before (as in part of a main focus) and im not sure the best way to go about it. I want the main focus on the dudes hands and around the fruit hes picking - so…
Nice model but I think you can push the texture a bit more, the metal has to strong height detail for a weapon that is made of stamped steel. The scratches on the wood are all over the places and therefore look more procedural and less natural. Take a look at what kind of details a stamped receiver would have
pfffft. may be rushed but it looks mega dope sir.. if you keep going with it the major things I see that could be pushed are a separation of materials.. like you have a rubber tire in there that reads a little flat, there are some metals in there too.. and perhaps there are slimy areas for the algae and wet dead plant…
I am using maya, and thanks aloti suppose the normal map could just push in the details of the folds of a trash bag, and the mesh could easily just be a few polys thanks alot guys!
Well in a nutshell as a hobbyist, it's an overiding aspiration too "Git Gud" perfecting my craft i.e. hard surface prop artist. Too that end been following these guys for years attempting to grind that looong bumpy road flat and think I've managed to pick up a thing or two however from my POV there's awhile left before…
Update 1 - Art Portfolio (Room for Improvement) - Hello everyone, I hope you are well. I have decided I wanted to come back on Polycount after being away for three years. Been fortunate enough to have a few 3D jobs in the past but been struggling to work at a professional standard. Lots of up and down moments doing art to…
I really like this piece, It's very clean. I would say you can push the texture a little bit more with some subtle wear. You can still maintain a clean look while adding some smudge marks, paint variation, and a edge wear (sparingly). I'm definitely impressed, good job!
amsterdam- i can't unfortunately right now because im not at my home computer, but i have been wondering that. The gun with both attachments and the strap is only coming in at 6500 tri's so i do have some wiggle room. I think when i get back home, im going to do some quick retouching of the lp, add in some polys and…
