It's looking good, A good way to make the bevels consistem(something I first thought about after I finished my marauder project) is to write down the extrude and bevel values, so you can replicate the exact same thing on the entire model, thereby giving it a consistent look.
or just take a screenshot from the viewport? i did most of my portfolio that way since it proved to be very timeconsuming to try and replicate shader-results with an offline renderer when all the maps were finetuned to work with the shader in the first place. max's confusing mateditor didn't help either. ;)
I'm looking to hire an experienced modeler who's capable of producing high-quality models with a fun, colorful and quirky aesthetic. Many of the scenes will be static, some with motion and others fully animated. They need to replicate clay stop motion and will be used in a website/mobile app. A lot of the creative work and…
Hi l'm new here, been having a problem generating clean ambient occlusion bake, l can't replicate the same results from watching videos and my bakes have roundish instead of a smooth gradient occlusion. The first picture was a bake l did a long time ago and thats the quality l'm aiming for.
I actually just try to get started anywhere. I am afraid that just doing what I enjoy is not necessarily what helps me find a job. The most fun I had replicating classical sculptures or paintings but I dont know if that kind of work is really needed.
Why not open the tile sampler and take a look at how it looks? The default Substances are just ripe for picking. Take the image into photoshop and write down notes on the features you see and what needs to be replicated. Basically just make a plan rather than trying to wing it and you'll thank yourself.
It's hard to say if this is the case based on the cropped screenshots, but I know you can replicate an identical result if you don't have materials turned on for the tool (ie: RGB only). Drop out of edit mode and check to make sure you're set to MRGB before going back to edit.
I had quite a play around with this and it's pretty cool. However, i really don't have a clue how i did most of what i did, certainly couldn't replicate it. Whether that's my fault or the seemingly hella confusing interface i don't know, but this is how i felt
Had a bunch of things all hit the fan at once the past couple weeks, but I'm still in it! Got the low poly built and did a test bake. Gonna go add more details to the arms and legs to make them more visually interesting. Probably replicating the patterning on the head in places.
Mate those are AWESOME thanks ! They work very well, I did some quick tests. Any tips for spreading the leaf planes over the tree ? Tried using instancing solutions like modo replicators but got inefficient results, so atm resorted to instance them one by one :(
