Me and my brother are having a discussion if anatomy is required or is helpful for designing cartoon characters. I am more on the side of it is required and my brother is more on the side that it isn't. When I say anatomy I mean skeletal, muscular, fat tissue, etc. of human or animal. Let's take Crash Bandicoot. Was…

I think its time to do my own improvement thread :D , and since a need ti work on my anatomy which is practically nonexistent I decided to do a human skull to better understand the shape of a human head. Still a work in progress.
hair looks like it really needs to less glued to her skull, unless she's going for the wet look good work so far though EQ, she's really shaping up to be one of your best.
Yes, I do want critiques as i'm not that good with the software and topology. I guess i'll just be posting in this thread. A skull skulpt I did. Just wanted to bring out the form so it isn't realistic.
Yeah man, I've gotta echo what I said on FB - Great job on these. The textures fit perfectly imo - I just think the skull on the bow needs a little more attitude. Kick ass job.
Very cool. Love the overall look of it, very consistent texturing and good colour choices. My only (tiny, tiny) crit is that those 3 skulls on his front are identical. Everything else is great. Keep it up
Great anatomy work! For some reason the 3\4 head view at the top looks funny. Maybe its just the angle, but it seems like the back of his skull is missing. It seems fine in the other pictures though.
hey nice trousers! Are all folds from marvelous? I know it's probably too late to change the sculpt but I think that face area compared to skull is too small also nostrils seem to be too flat.
I love the octopus theme, but the human skull and teeth are giving it more of a DnD beholder vibe (also cool, but not as in line with you stated intent. Either way, it's a great start, cant wait to see it go further.
