Heres where I'm at with the armor. I took the old mesh for the spaulder sculpted a super rough skull then used maya live to place the verts accordingly over the sculpt and make a new mesh with better topology.
Hey this is comeing along nicely. Btw how did you get the light to pick up the skulls to drop a shadow? Every time I tried something like this the light flatout ignored my geometry.
That's actually very cool! Can't wait to see where you will be taking this. You might need to give the skull a bit more structure (bit too round atm) but yeah I like where this is going!!!
While it isn't super Zelda-y I think I remember similar skulls showing up on the walls inside of Gerudo Fortress. They were normally above the opening of the prison rooms if I remember correctly.
@johnnybrach - thanks! Updates to the back room, thinking about a fountain perhaps, Also new lanterns and maybe working with some tessellation effects for skulls coming out of the wall. Oh! Tons of UV updates :poly122:
-attempts to sneak into the thead- I want to attempt have a go at this. Expect horrifying things. (Especially since the only thing I really have down well is the skull..but heyo lets be masochistic!) But I will try.
I personally think the head in the last shot is great. Not everyone has this perfectly shaped skull like in most games and what not. Big ups. However silkroad is right about the ears, they definitely need work.
This one took 2 hours, really like the progress. Decide to study and practice drawing the skull, really help improve the overall quality of the head. The next few practices are gonna be hard surface. #sculpting #practice
nice details on his little squirrel trophies ever consider giving him a skull mask kind of thing? i think it might clutter him but i just thought i'd throw the idea out there
Fuck you! ....it's awesome. :) And yeah i would get rid of it if Death's Choice or Whispering fanged Skull actually dropped. :( Alas, they do not drop. I also refuse to get that haste trinket from badges. :)
