Interesting! I can see where you are coming from. Here is the unwrap I was using. I am mirroring an entire shoulder and arm, leg, leg armor and shoulder armor. There are one or two pieces that are turned kinda arbitrarily but those really aren't the ones I had problems with.
The leather patch was just an example, I'm trying to do a shoulder armor and some other armor parts. My coordination with the intuos is ok... but you might have a point with me expecting it to be too perfect. I guess I'll just give it a shot and see what turns up... Thanks.
Well people, I'm working on this model for a scholar project, the problem is that ZBrush isn't exactly exporting usable normals.. I exported the maps of the obdy and the armor as separated pieces after doing it together, both with bad results. Here's the basic topology. Hi topo Armor piece problem in low & hi topo My…
Today I learned how to use the Nanomesh function in zBrush: I also began another character project to take advantage of this. I'm trying to decide on whether I should my previous character's armor to better utilize this sort of lamellar armor or if I should work on this new character instead.
Great character so far! It feels very weird that the piece of hanging cloth goes underneath the thigh armor pads. I'm also not super fan of the 3 armor pads on the same cloth underneath the belt in the back of the character. But that's the design I guess. Otherwise the execution is really great so far!
the last picture show's you're alot more improved in metal/armor hand painted textures, but you should still check out some other Hand painted models for more research P.s dont focus alot on JUST armor texture, i think the sword needs alot works
Nice, Could we get a 3d turnaround of the monotoar. :) just saying cuz the knees look slightly off anatomicly. but it could be the way the animal leg is angled. I think you should make the armored boner bigger and put some armored testies as well. prefferably with spikes on them. haha
Hi AstroZombie there are two alternatives that I know of: Comodo http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/index.html and Online Armor http://www.tallemu.com/free-firewall-protection-software.html If you go with Comodo with Defense+ enabled be ready for a ton of security popups. Supposedly Online Armor is a bit more user…
Update on the wooden armor set for the browser game im working on, just need to do the belt, gloves and boots now :) it's one of seven armor sets, which will each have a male and female version. Helmet: 156 tris 256x256 Shoulders: 296 tris 256x256 chest: 180 tris 256x256
it seems like if the leg-armor had pattern like the shoulder armor, it would make more sense. leave the center area (belt) unique also - very sharp edges on linear forms (the straight lines with hard edges) compared to the soft body rendering. it's inconsistent. suggestion: make the face brighter
