It's the way Nintendo has operated for over 120 years. When their main venture isn't working out, they start focusing on another aspect of their business. Nintendo have dabbled in taxi services, running hotels and even steel in the past.
1. Start -> Run -> "services.msc". 2. Look for "TabletService" (I think, might be called something else for the Bamboo). 3. Right-click on it and choose "Stop". 4. Once it's stopped, right-click on it again and choose "Restart Service".
Truely though, Max8 has some great features, I just wish they had been in a Max7 service pack. 8 is on SP3=release 4 in what, 9 months? I still crash it 3 times a day.
In another few years, Onlive will no longer exist. It tries to give the publishers everything they could dream of and bleeds the consumer while leaving their quality of service at the mercy of their internet connection. It's a hand job to the publishers and a dry anal hump to the consumer.

Substance Painter has released a Beta on Valve's Steam service. I hear it's pretty good, but I haven't had a chance to use it myself yet. Also, it's in Beta, so I guess we can take that as a warning. :)
Usually, some good brushes that add grime and scratches into your diffuse (and accentuated in your normals) combined with specs to really bring them out will be adequate to make your weapon look like it's really seen some service.
They'll wait till the last minute and then pass a bill that cuts social services in the US for people who need it the most, while the richest people run off with lower taxes and open loopholes. In other words, business as usual.
